From April 11 to 13, the XXIII International Ademuz Endurance Rides 2025 (Valencia) were held, featuring the 2025 Spanish Championship for Junior and Young Riders as the main event, which took place on Sunday the 13th over a CEIYJ/CENYJ2** course of 121 kilometers in four phases.

Alí Alfalasi and Gorosti

Forty horse-and-rider pairs started in the Spanish Jr & YR Championship 2025: thirty-six from Spain, three from the UAE, and one from Portugal, along with seven regional teams. In the first phase, a leading group of nine formed, from which Martina Madrid and Maymoon-Albidayer broke ahead, entering first with a six-minute lead over the other eight. However, they lost that lead during the first recovery. Four minutes behind the main group came Ayla López with Yegua, followed by a trio three minutes behind and another two minutes further. One horse from the lead group was eliminated at the trot inspection. The rest of the field trailed nearly half an hour behind.

In the second phase, Madrid and Maymoon again led with a five-minute advantage but failed the trot at the second vetgate. Another from the leading group was eliminated during the trot inspection. The new leading group of six pairs had a ten-minute lead over López, with a chasing duo seven minutes behind and the rest more than half an hour back.

In the third phase, five riders remained together at the front and entered in this order: Clara Latorre with Defender-Río, Mar Pérez with Tra-Quebec, Alí Alfalasi with Gorosti-Pagadi, Celia Soler with F-Ghazwan-Al-Shaqab, and Guim Casellas with Fareed-De-Gima. Manel Ferrer and Píkaro-De-Torre followed six minutes later, and López and Yegua came in another eleven minutes after that. At the vetgate, Quebec moved into first place, with Defender, Gorosti, and Ghazwan arriving within the same minute. Fareed dropped to fifth, six minutes behind the leaders, and Píkaro was sixth, three minutes further back.

Team Podio

In the final phase, Alí Alfalasi and Gorosti went all out to win the CEIYJ2**, and they succeeded. In the fight for the Spanish Championship Gold, Mar Pérez and Quebec proved strongest in the final stretch, finishing half a minute ahead of Celia Soler and Ghazwan, who took Silver. Coming from behind, Manel Ferrer and Píkaro, averaging over 27 km/h, secured the Bronze, ahead of Guim Casellas with Fareed and Clara Latorre with Defender. In the team rankings, Gold went to Catalonia, Silver to Valencia, and Bronze to the mixed team of Castilla-León and Madrid.
